Hadronization model tuning in genie v3

نویسندگان

چکیده

The GENIE neutrino Monte Carlo describes neutrino-induced hadronization with an effective model, known as AGKY, which is interfaced PYTHIA at high invariant mass. Only the low-mass AGKY model parameters were extracted from hadronic shower data FNAL 15 ft and BEBC experiments. In this paper, first tune on averaged charged multiplicity deuterium hydrogen bubble chamber experiments presented, a complete estimation of parameter uncertainties. A partial only highlights tensions between datasets.

Hadronization in the Chromodielectric Model

Quantumchromodynamics (QCD) is the widely accepted theory to describe strong interactions between hadrons. This theory shows the well-known behavior of asymptotic freedom. Furthermore, lattice calculation show a phase transition from the hadronic world to a system of free moving quarks and gluons, the Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP). Heavy–ion experiments at CERNSPS, at recently started BNL-RHIC and a...

Tuning GENIE Earth System Model Components using a Grid Enabled Data Management System

We present the Grid enabled data management system that has been deployed for the GENIE project and demonstrate its use in tuning studies of an Earth system model. A Matlab client to the system provides a common environment for the project Virtual Organization to share scripts, binaries and output data. By using tools available in the Geodise toolkits we have scripted the execution of tuning st...

A modified cluster - hadronization model ⋆

A new phenomenological cluster-hadronization model is presented. Its specific features are the incorporation of soft colour reconnection, a more general treatment of diquarks including their spin and giving rise to clusters with baryonic quantum numbers, and a dynamic separation of the regimes of clusters and hadrons according to their masses and flavours. The distinction between the two region...

On Advanced Scientific Understanding, Model Componentisation and Coupling in GENIE

GENIE is a scalable modular platform aiming to simulate the long term evolution of the Earth’s climate. It’s modularity lies in the fact that it consists of a separate module for the earth’s atmosphere, the oceans, the land, the sea-ice and the land-ice. Such models need to be coupled together to produce the ensemble model. As new modules are actively being researched and developed, it is desir...
